New Testament Challenge – May 14

May 14 – John 1:1-28 – “they went to ask him, “Who are you?” he admitted and did not deny it, but admitted, “I am not the Messiah.” (Jn 1:19-20)

I am surrounded by Life. And this is the most fantastic mystery, which envelopes everything. In Life – both the one I experience as myself and Life I find all around me – I can contemplate the presence of Christ. He is Life!

As a disciple of Jesus, I become aware that Life is what makes me receive the love God has for me, and it is through Life that I can love Him back. I must always live keeping this harmony in my heart. I am a living being who is respected and loved by God. I move in the world as a witness to this beautiful gift God has given me, us… I am not the Messiah, I am not the author of Life nor the savior. The more I keep this in mind, the more the God-given gift of Life will be able to thrive in me.
