New Testament Challenge – May 11

May 11 – Luke 24:1-12 – “then they returned from the tomb and announced all these things to the eleven and to all the others” (Lk 24:9)

The resurrection always creates confusion in our minds. It changes everything, and we tend to have difficulties with this type of changes. And yet, while they were trying to figure out what happened, they remembered the words of Jesus and were able to put things into perspective.

As a disciple of Jesus, I am a witness of the resurrection: I prove that this experience is real by the way I live my life and not only by the words I say. Whenever I experience difficulties – of any kind – I will ask help from both God and my brothers and sisters so that together we can remember the words of Jesus. And from the difficulty, I will be able to move towards the life of the resurrection. Whenever I experience “the tomb,” I must remember that it is only temporary. The real life is out there, waiting for me to live it.
