New Testament Challenge – April 29

April 29 – Luke 19:1-27 – “Zacchaeus.. was seeking to see who Jesus was; but he could not see him because of the crowd, for he was short in stature.” (Lk 17:3)

As a disciple of Jesus, I am called to remain in constant union with Christ – communicating with Him continually. But this communication is difficult to maintain constant because of the many impediments and circumstances.

Like Zacchaeus, I, too, want to see Jesus but often I have to face the impact of people and natural events, like illnesses and difficulties. I have to make sure that nothing and nobody will stand in between Jesus and me. I have to find new and creative ways to achieve my goal: to keep my eyes always on Jesus and be ready to move position – physically or mentally – in order to gain a different perspective that will allow me to hear Jesus’ voice calling me to be with Him and live an abundant and fruitful life.
