  1. I survived adversity with grace and faith. I lost my little boy when he was very young due to rare disabilities caused by genetic flaws. Subsequently my daughter suffered from depression and adolescent traumas. Throughout it all and still my faith surrounds me and sustains me. I grew up in a very religious Irish Catholic family. My parents, especially my mother, guided us in the rosary, daily mass and uplifting song. They died many years ago and now I hold my brother and sister up as spiritual models. They still live their faith following our parent’s model and are very active in their parishes.
